GOLDEN AGERS FELLOWSHIP

On December 10, 1986, our pastor organized The Golden Agers Fellowship group. He called upon Sister Inethia Matthews to be chairperson and asked her to form a committee to work with her. Pastor Franklin felt the need to get the older members to come together and enjoy more activities together. When Pastor Franklin met with the committee, it was agreed that the purpose of the group would be a fellowship among the older members of the church. The group started with eight members and, since then, has grown tremendously. The group meets and enjoys a fellowship every fifth Saturday. Sometimes a luncheon, shopping trip or live play is enjoyed on a weekday. A newsletter is published quarterly.
The Golden Agers cherish the times that they get together and fellowship with each other and "Thank God" for the chance to do so.
