WHY STAND YE HERE ALL THE DAY IDLE? Matthew 20:6
JESUS IS STILL ASKING THAT SAME QUESTION – EVERY CHRISTIAN CAN DO SOMETHING DEFINITE AND WORTHWHILE
The Missionary Union is a beehive of activities consisting of six circles: Lydia Circle, Dorcas Circle, Acteens, Junior Red Circle, Sunshine Band and four chapters: Brotherhood, Royal Ambassadors, Pioneers and Crusaders.
The Missionary Union in our church is one of those organizations that wants and needs you. To help you make your decision, consider what the Missionary Union does: v It is a broad area of church and community outreach along with Bible Study; v The Missionary Union feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, carries good news to sinners; v It provides leadership for special mission projects of the church; and, v Interprets to its members, information regarding the work of the church, district, state, and national convention.
Our aim is to unite the men, women, young people, and children of this church in an enduring missionary enterprise, through which we shall show forth the beauty of holiness. BY SYSTEMATIC DAILY PRAYER AND MISSION STUDY. Mission is an essential characteristic of Christianity. No sooner had Jesus called the twelve disciples than He began to send them forth on a mission. Again, He organized a group of seventy, trained them, and sent them out to proclaim the news of the Kingdom and minister unto the sick. And later still, according to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus commanded His disciples to:
“GO YE THEREFORE, AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS – TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE WHATSOEVER I COMMANDED YOU. AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.”
